Are 853 heads good or bad in a 2001 Camaro SS?

you should have 241s in 01....guess you got a leftover....there not "bad" but there were slight improvements to the 241 heads....just get them ported

Is it gonna effect how the car runs with the 853 heads?

no, there also stock heads for ls1 cars...

Are LS6 CNC ported heads the same as 853 heads?

no, ls6 heads are 243 castings.....ported heads are something totally different in their own right....research porting

18k$ is a little much when someone just bought a firehawk on another page for 19k$

thats a nice setup, but you have to ask yourself...why would someone put all that stuff on it, to baby it or keep it as a garage queen....its been beat on regardless,

id talk it down a little bit and then id check into the car mechanicaly

853s arent upgrades however

what mechanical problems do u think could be wrong with it? Or is that just to big of a question to ask.

thats speculation that you will have to find out by taking it to someone, a car thats been beat on could have many problems

I wouldn't buy a car that has been modded that much. I've done that once and NEVER AGAIN! All I did was take over somebodies headache. Look for a mostly stock one, god knows there's plenty out there.
