I think its a little bit high for a flood damaged car. IMO you can find nice 98 Ls1's for $6500-$7000... but that is just my opinion, if the car has been wet inside, its gonna have electrical issues in the future...

Yeah, I asked about the wiring harness, but I haven't received a reply yet.

does it have a salvage tittle? if not i'd go look. tell him you need to take the car to your mechanic to be checked out. if you take a door panel off or a kick panel you should find the water line. if its to the bottom of the seats as he says i'd jump all over it.
keep in mind a car more than 5 years old brings about 15-16% from the ins. co. to their contract buyer on a total take the good w\the bad. remember too that car will part out alot better than the $3200 i would offer.
the only reason i'm saying this is houston is 800 miles away.

The ad does say clean title. If the water level reach to only the bottom of the seats, then it probably didn't reach anything critical such as the wiring harness, correct? I'm still waiting for a response from the guy, but I think I might go take a look at it.

If you are pretty close it might be worth checking out, but just be real careful.

Yeah, it's only like a 30-minute drive.

Ok. The guy responded back.

Water got into the interior up to the seat motor. Carpet was thrown out, driver’s seat is beat (see pic). Needs carpets, I may be able to get the rear seat. Water did not reach any electronics.

Needs: muffler, interior kit (door panels are good), AC work (I’m guessing compressor). Power seat if you want one.

Typical Camaro stuff: Slow electric windows, abs light, low coolant light and e-brake light in dash stay on.

What works: Lights, gauges, CD player, goes and stops fine.

I included a few more pics.

Let me know what you want to do.
