Did something break off?

Usually you can just pull that thing off and unplug it.

The one on the car now is scratched and the lettering is almost completely gone. I'd like to replace it with a new one.

I do believe if you just give it a firm pull it will just pull off, and then just unplug the wire. and I think autozone sells them.

Now if something broke down in the steering column its a whole different story, trust me I know

Thanks. On my '87 and '79, the steering wheel had to come off among some other things before it could be removed.
