I told him to get rid of his car and get a bicycle..dumbass messin an SS up like that..he should get a kick in the nuts. ![Nutkick](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies2/nutkick.gif)
Rev Limiter more than likely won't hurt anything on a Stock or even a lightly modded Car..it's there to let you know that you need to shift. Don't make it a common habit though..

I bet something on his SS is aleady been broke I assume
The rev limiter is there for a reason and will not hurt it unless your bouncing off it like that knuckle-head in the video. I've miss-shifted mine from redline at 3rd into 2nd (atleast I'm admitting it) and my rear started hopping all over the place. By some stoke of luck, I didn't break a single thing. That took my engine to 8500+rpm momentarily and that's what you do not want to do. Everything is capable of breaking if that happens. Bouncing off the rev limiter is what is helping prevent that and is o.k. to bounce off, just don't make a sport of it.

Bouncing the rev limiter is not as bad as powershifting and missing a gear, now that will bend some pushrods and screw ur bearings up.
EVERYONE has bounced the limiter at least once or twice. I know just remember the pitch of my car at a certain RPM, and dont even look at the RPM meter and just shift by feel and sound....seems to be working for me so far
