try sticking a clothes hanger down to see if the tube is clear someone might have messed with your filler tube.

I really dont think we can help you unless anyone of us could look at it. You need to see if the filler neck separated from the tank, or if ?

My car has done this a couple times over the years since new - just kept removing/reinserting the pump nozzle, filling it slowly until it took gas.

This might be an involved fix. If you have not been messed with in any way. If its from an evap problem you will have to pull the tank to get at the evap stuff. There is a 1/2" vent on the top of the tank by the canister, if it gets clogged your car wont accept gas at all. Its like someone put a ball in the filler neck or something, it will just sit there and pool. This is my guess unless there is something im not thinking of. I pulled all my evap stuff off from the front to the back and put a line and a filter on that vent and ran it to my driver side wheel well. Boone

if your car is working fine one day and it leaves you on the side of the road the next. then it starts in about an hour, your fuel pump is going bad
