WS6 ls1 m6 as a Daily driver?
I have had 2 cars in my life:
1. 1982 monte carlo (future race car) which i still drive and love. 14 mpg and ragged out!
2. 94 z in my sig. (weekend/summer toy) 11mpg in town, and 14mpg highway. Current Daily driver
We also have a 2005 civic (wifes) 38mpg highway
I have been playing with the idea of getting a m6 ls1 ws6 for a d/d when we pay off her car. Later down the road this might turn into a 2nd toy (8-10 years from now). Are there any problems you could think of with this?
I want a 2001-2002 ls6 intake/block? M6 for sure. At what point does a ls1 start having problems (miles) and what are the common problems besides, window motors and possibly a headlight motor?
Also how much money am i looking at?

not all of the 01 02s had an ls6 block, they did have the intake. ive had mine for a year and no problems, exept the headlight moter. 92k miles on it. its a daily driver and when i go out of town i take it, 25 to 30 mpg on the highway. i say go for it, depending on the condition of the car you shuld be between 13k and 17k, just look around till you find one that you like

if you are going to DD an fbody, get an m6 for sure. just put a lid/catback on it and drive it. keep it on the stock wheels too if u can, aftermarket wheels are heavy and will lower your fuel mileage.

Mine has been one of the most reliable cars I have ever owned. Definately the funnest. And I'm one of the few old farts on here, owned a lot of cars. I've only had this one for 2years but had '97 and '01 Birds before the WS6. Mine only has 30,000 on it so far. In a few years I'm getting a Vette for DD and saving the WS6 for special days.
Drive it! You'll have to wipe a grin off your face at every light, but you will arrive happy.

Do it!!!!!! But if price is any concern then go with a formulator or standard T/A. Bought mine for $8,000 with 116K on it. Hammered the crap out of it for 17K and then spun a rod bearing but 98's are good for that. Also get one with T-tops and your woman will want to learn to drive stick which you can then parlay into that car being half hers/half yours so she can't say you have 2MANYCARS
