Timing chain question.
I tried to search this, but couldn't find anything. I have a new cam that I'll be installing in the spring, but want to get a new timing chain while I'm installing the cam. I'm thinking of a heavy duty LS2, but see the adjustable timing chains offered. I know how a timing chain works and syncronizes the crank to the cam, but how does an adjustable timing chain work? I know you can advance or retard the timing, but how is that accomplished? Also, not sure if this is right or not, but I see a lot of people that have a LSA that says something like 112 +4 or so on. Is this affected by the timing on the timing chain and if it is, how so? Plus, which one would you prefer?
