Hi everyone I'm new to the forum and have not brought my car to the dyno yet but was wondering how much HP I have. We have a bet going on in my car club and I wanted to see if anyone here had a good idea of what that number will be when I do get the car on the dyno on August 2nd.

Just a few bolt-ons but I'd appreciate educated guesses.
2000 Camaro SS
SLP lid
K and N filter
85mm MAF
Smooth bellows
SSRA (Super Sucker Ram Air)
3" Cut-Out (after catalytic converter)
3.73 Gear
SFC

Auto, or manual trans? That makes a difference.

A4= 310-315hp

M6= 320-325hp

Unless you have a "factory freak" those #s should be in the ball park. The only mods you have that will show a difference is the lid & maf. The SSRA won't show on a dyno because the car isn't moving to create the "ram air" effect. The 3.73s may hurt the hp # a tiny bit.

The cutout will help too Mobe. I agree with your numbers, or would lean to the high side of them.

Ah! Yup, I missed the cutout. But, I have seen cutouts give as much as 15hp and as little as 2hp over cat-backs. So... Get it dynoed and tell us what its makin.

i did about 330 sae corrected in reality the lid and cutout ore the only real contributors to your peak hp id betud be bout the same as me mabye a bit less since im using hypercrap tuning which did help espacially after my borlan im gonna say 320 rwhp sae corrected but keep in mind yuor also tring to widen your powerband not just up your peak hp id guess your doing pritty good but i have to warn some say cutouts actually hurt you in the low end when your mostly stock if i were you id get a nice catback im quite happy with my borla i think you will see a peformance gain over the cutout

Sorry this is off topic but JPR said that a cutout will cause you to lose POWER in a close-to stock car!!! CAN NE ONE PROVE IT ONE WAY OR THE OTHER??? I'm getting a cutout Tuesday and only have a Predator, Lid, and Magnaflow cat-back

I'll have the results in this saturday and will post. Chaz: I'll be running cut-out open and closed. I have minor upgrades as well. If you can wait that long you can decide for yourself. In anycase you can just cap it if you do it.

How many freak 2000's are there? I know mine is, a freak for low numbers, as in Dyno and mph, but seems to tracking with ET.

Added TR224 cam, and only picked up like 16hp. Picked up about 4mph, but dropped about 4/10ths as well. Forget dyno numbers with an A4 and use it to tune.

I've seen 326 rear wheel H.P. with a SLP loudmouth,SLP Mass Flow Sensor, SLP bellows kit,MTI intake lid with a Holly Powershot filter.
Those are all the mods I had when I dynoed my car
last year. It is however a 6m transmission, and at that time I still had the stock rear-end with 3:42 gears.

So I ran with the cut-out open and closed. guys were nice enough to give me 4 runs. 2 open 2 closed.
My car is a A4 and my dyno result is...
Closed: 305rwhp
Open: 314rwhp

On the dyno the SSRA never got a fair shot because no one kicks fans up to 60mph LOL.

I was going to guess about 315rwhp. An '01-'02 would've made 322rwhp or so due to the LS6 intake.
