Default Cutout question

I am new to LS1 cars and I was wondering about getting a cut out while I am installing my new exhaust. I am getting a Hooker Longtubes, Hooker Y Pipe and Magnaflow exhaust. How much money does it usually cost and where is a good place to look for this part/mod?

Try SpeedInc.com (site sponser) and look in the exhaust section for DMH electric cutouts. DMH offers a 4 year warrenty!

bought a dynomax 3.5 from jegs for 45 and then had a turn down made for another 40. The turn down deleted all interior vibrations and reduced the ratteling marble in a can sound.

I have the qtp cutout and the fuse pops if you dead head it even for like a split second... kinda a pain in the ***. Now the motor that turns the butterfly is shot and I dont know what to do with it... Tried to explain it to qtp but they didn't seem to beleive me or something... said I wired it wrong which I know I did not.

I have a manual cut out right in the intermediate pipe just about under the rear passengers seat. Only cost like 50 bucks.

Will a cutout actually do anything, i mean i have the LM2 and its just a glasspack. Its a pretty straight through exhaust (well as straight through as stock with a CB gets). Is it really worth the mod or does it just make you think its faster because of the loudness? Or is it a mod to do once i get LTs. Im just curious.

Depending , you could still gain a cupple Hp from it even with a nice flowing exhaust.

How well does the cutout work with stock exhaust? I'm kinda short on funds, and figure this would be a cheap mod. Just wondering if it was worth it.

It should work fine. You dont need a fancy setup to have an E-cutout.
I have QTP that I ordered from www.summittracing.com.
Then I had a performance shop install it.
