Default LS2 intake on an LS1???

I've heard of ppl putting an LS2 intake on their LS1's... I know the intake is 90mm but I've also hear it's a bad intake and will loose horsepower over an LS6 intake...

What's your opinions? Got any data to back it up?

I dunno about data but from what I understand the LS2 flows the same numbers as the LS6 intake.

Get an LS6, even though the LS2 is 90mm it doesn't outflow the LS6. I believe a ported LS2 is comparable to a FAST

The LS2 intake has the map sensor in the front.

Dont waste time with LS2, get the FAST, or get the LS6. you need the 90mm TB with the LS2($$$) and wont outflow the LS6. plus you need the LS2 fuel rails and injectors adapters($).

It might be worth it for a ported LS2 intake, but again, they are not that cheap. its around 275-300 to get the LS2 ported plus the cost of the stock unit that goes around 300 with the fuel rails and adapter. So you are at +-600$ instead of +-800 for a FAST 90mm. The FAST 90(or 92)mm is a proven unit, check the dyno section;theres a lot of graph that prove it.

We cant say that theres is so many plp using the ported LS2,even if its cheaper.
I didnt find more than 2-3 plp with a ported LS2 on a LS1 with great result in the dyno section...

LS6 gets my vote. I'll keep mine till I can afford a ported FAST 92mm....or the weiand street warrior intake that'll come out in summer.

A ported Ls2 can outflow a fast 90 out of the box, but a ported fast 90/92 is still going to be the king at this point.

I heard and seen nothing but trouble with the BBK.. I have seen at least 5 cars loose power with them. I am not for them, some may have luck with them but I have yet to meet that person..

If you have a ls6 you can have tpis make it into a 90mm later its 400 plus the TB for 500 or so.

getting a LS2 would be too much headache unless you are planning for a 90mm TB etc. also its electronic plug in also, no cables. LS6 would be great, 90/90 little better but more cash. LS6 and your car would be happy..
