The first car that I personally bought was a F-body. I was 18.

1996 Camaro SS
Black, M6, Loaded

Freaking loved it.

Quite a big difference from my dad's 1994 Ford Splash 4 cylinder I drove.

But I beat the hell out of it.

Been in love with them since. Bought my current Trans Am 2 years ago.

I did and I still have it! It sounds like most of you are just youngsters driving these great newer f-bodies that don't need much wrenching to keep running [no offence] but my car allways needed a little help. I got my first car at 16 years of age way back in 1978 and it was and is a 1967 rsss convertible. I am looking at dropping a newer drivetrain in it for more power and gas mileage. The only thing is I don't want to cut it up to bad [I would like to be able to return to stock if something else comes up].

Got my '97 Firebird as a christmas/18th birthday present from my grandparents. Drove it for a year until it started giving me problems. Then I bought my '01 V6 Camaro and drove and beat on it for 3 years until the tranny needed work and I didn't feel like putting the money into it. Then sold it last summer to buy my '01 Pewter SLP SS that I practically wipe down with a diaper every other day, lol. Still have the Firebird though and I'm rebuilding it to be my winter car and currently doing a t-top conversion on it.
