Default idle weird

sometimes when I'm stopped my idle will go up and down. Like from 700 to 1300 rpm's. It will go away after awhile but always seems to come back. I got a SES light once but went away before I got the chance to get the code. Everything else seems fine. ybe time for a tune up? By the way it's a 98 camaro SS M6 just over 100K.

Are you the original owner? Has it been properly maintained? Could be the plugs like stated. Have they ever been changed?

no i'm not the original owner that why I kind of thought it was time for some plugs and wires, but its kind of expensive this for me at this time. I'll check the vacuum lines.

I've got an idle problem too. Mostly like when I stop at a traffic light, it stays at 1500-2000 for like 10-15 seconds, then goes back down. It never used to do this. It will also sometimes go up to ~1500 when I turn on the AC, then stay there, then go back down. (The traffic light thing happens with the AC on or off both.)

I cleaned IAC tonight. Checked my TP sensor positions with an "Auto X-ray EZScan 6000" and it was reading perfectly (had my uncle look at it while I drove). I sprayed around my EGR valve with carb cleaner to try and find a leak there but I did not. I did not see any visible problems with vacuum lines (brake booster, etc.) though I have not reached behind the intake because my engine was at operating temperature when I was snooping around.

I've never worked much on the Camaro. I'm not new to working on cars (though I am by no means a professional mechanic) and I know some cars air intakes/fuel injectors are loud, but there is a damn loud hissing sound around the front of the intake/throttle body or around there. I took an unlit propane torch (with the gas open) and moved it around a bit and did not find a spot where the idle changed, though I couldn't really get around the bottom of the intake - tried more around the throttle body and the TB/IM joint.

What should I do next?

I have the DTC 0507 idle control system RPM higher than expected. If I let it idle calmly for a while, it'll go out, and then it comes back during driving after a while when the problem happens a handful of times.

Yeah, around the end of last year or so. I'll take a look at it to make sure it hasn't gotten clogged up though.

my code was the TP sensor low voltage. I don't know if I should replace the sensor or not. I hate intermitten electrical problems.

cleaned MAF and PCV today. PCV was a little dirty but not too bad. MAF was almost perfect (as far as I could see) but I sprayed it down good anyway. No change.
