Talking Looking to buy Sunset Orange 01 SS (need input)

Local lot near me has an 01 Orange SS, what are some items to look for when buying a used Camaro?
The lower part of the front passenger fender seems not to line up with the door unlike the drivers side.

I ran the Vin and only showed cars previous sale location and asking price of $13,900.

Can anyone run the Vin through the dealership for official records and if the car has been wrecked(no carfax)

I will car dealership tomorrow to confirm milege and price.

Tues May 27th

Just called they want 12,500 for the car with 59,000 mi

should i jump on this and how much to talk down the price ?

KBB wants $12,100 in Exc condition and $11,300 in good condiction

Test drove car noticed drivers window would pop when rolling down window seat had small tear

car along with pics

Look at the lower section of the fender underneath the car where it is bolted to the pinch weld. Many times these cars are jacked up by this pinch weld or are put on 2 post lifts and the lifts smash this part of the fender/pinch weld. It causes the same type of misalignment that you are talking about and can also mess up the door gap at the top of the fender, too. This isn't a really hard fix, most of the cars I have repaired by just removing the two bolts from the lower part of the fender and bending the pinchweld back in place. Good luck with your purchase, I have always liked the Sunset Orange SS's!

check it on carfax report on the internet. that will tell you whether or not it has been in an accident and other things.

^ both posts above are good advice...also don't always rely on carfax as it only shows what has been reported. Just look over the vehicle thoroughly

Take it to a mechanic if you have concerns about the car at all.

+1, thats a good color to pickup id tell him 12k if not be like 12,250 see if he takes it. Thats a decent price either way, but is this a m6 or a4? if its a a4 I wouldn't bother unless you got it down to 12 or below, the a4s loose value alot quicker then the m6s and are alot easier to find IMO.

offer $11K like stated above, maybe $11.5K....the worst they can do is say "no." if they're a dealership and askng $12,500, i would wager they have ~9500-$11,500 in it. i wouldn't pay $12,500 for an A4, but that's just me. it is what it is and i think you should buy it if it's anywhere near your location. SOM SS's aren't easy to come by unless you want to travel. i live in SW missouri and drove to Chicago to get mine...and payed $18K, but it had some stuff done to it and like 24K miles....

If I could have found an SOM SS, that's what I would have gotten instead of the purple Z. I'd offer $11K and see what they counter with... Good luck.
