Default How much would i expect to pay for headers and a ORY install?

I have decided to go with Pacesetters Headers and a Y, so how much is an average price in a muffler shop for installation?
I have checked in 1 shop and they said 280... is it good or not?

That's a fair price considering all the bullshit. You can't even do the install in your driveway safely...you can't safely get the car high enough in the air. Ask them how much it is to change the spark plugs while they're in there.

uh what???

I just installed my Hooker long tubes and pace setter ORY last friday...took me 3 hours to take off the coil packs, plugs and wires and the old manifolds. Took me another 3 hours to put new plugs in, put the headers on, coils, wires and the Y pipe....overall, it took me 6 hours to do a complete header install....and it was all done in my driveway, my first time.

I assume you have done them before? Its not hard at all if your not a ******* idiot. Headers are not worth $280 to install. It is one of the simplest mods you can do to our cars. As long as you have some common sense you can do it. You dont even have to get the car off the ground that high. Spark plugs are pretty damn easy as well. make sure if you do them yourself do them after the headers are in. You risk the chance of cracking one when you put in the header.

well can someone explain the benefits of a catted Y??? It seems every time i ask everyone is getting mad... I live in damn CA and thought about buying an ORY and leave the stock cats... Which should be good for emissions??? right?

If not then are you possibly implying that i have a chance of passing sniffer (and only sniffer) with a catted Y and longtubes w/ emissions??????

ur right tht doesnt mean he cant go illegeal, but california is way more stict with testing, why risk it...u could do longtubes but u risk the chance of not passing, u can pass the sniffer may b but will fail the visaul....im pretty sure jba makes the only 50 state legal shortie headers
