Question Good Setup???

i want to do heads cam and intake..its my dd..im 16 so i dont have a fortune to spend...i was looking at the patriot 5.3l heads stage 2 or 3 ..and a 224 or 226 maybe 228 ..as for the lsa i was thinking 112...and a ls6 intake or typhoon....i know about the lsa now..but was wandering if 111 lsa is to low to me your everday driver..car has 97k on it and will be fully rebuilt..i have been told this setup will bring 400-435 rwhp...is this ok for a dd???

THANKS

look good if you are on a budget i would get some ported ls6 heads and a thunder racing 230/224 w/a 111 lsa that set up is good for about 430-450hp, you can get ls6 heads on ebay for around 500.00 and thunder racing has a cam kit w/cam,lifter,push rods, and valve springs for 710.00

i have been thinking about throwing in either a mild TSP cam or an ls6 cam. that way it stays fun to drive.

those are good flowing heads for the money and the cam is very street able. i have a friend with that cam, he has full bolt-on and he put 407hp to the wheels and it is his dd, and they same stock ls6 heads are good for 30 more.

My setup is a TSP 228R (114 LSA), Patriot Stage 2 LS6 heads milled to 59cc, LS6 intake, and full exhaust. Through a shitty TCI converter, it put down 415/364 unlocked on a Mustang dyno. It's VERY streetable and has a nice lope to it even with the 114 LSA. On a 6 speed car, I wouldn't go any lower than a 112 if you want it to be street friendly, but a good tuner can keep it smooth for you with some tweaking. I was originally looking at the 5.3 heads because I wanted to keep some power down low, but I'm glad I went with the LS6's. They produce just as much torque since they're milled to 59cc's and they flow better then the 5.3's. I'm REAL happy with my setup.
