I know I posted this a while back in the tech section, but im also posting it here to see if i can get more responses.
Im doing my plugs again, and the drivers side took round 15 minutes to change plugs, now im at the passengers side and this time I want to move the coil pack to do my plugs(was hell last time)...but how in the HELL do u remove the last bolt?? NOTHING fits back there because there is a hose that is there(not the AIR TUBE)...it doesnt seem to move much so i can put my ratchet back there and loosen it up..
PLEASE anyone...HELP...im gonna try again tommorow morning...
oh yea...ive read somewhere that u can slid the coil pack without loosening up the last bolt...but wont it break it if you put too much pressure on it?? thanks

I took me 2.5 hours to get that bolt off. I had to use a short boxed end wrench at about a 1/16 of a turn each time. I threw that **** as far as I could after I finally got it out.
Just be patient. You will get it.

My arms are way to big to get back there.
Let's hear it for GM for those little spike-like screws sticking out underneath the cowl. Those are good for 10-15 cuss words while changing the plugs.

unit... it took you 2.5 hours?!?!?!?! NO GOOD! It took me at most 15 minutes with a box end wrench. The easy way is to crawl on top of the engine bay and shove your right arm straight back under everything.

you can take some side cutters and cut those little pointy retainers almost flush and be done with it
Go to sears and but a stubby 10mm box/open end wrench. May as well pick up a 15mm stubby if you ever go to pull the intake, the bolts on the back of the LH head to get the diverter valve bracket off is almost as bad as the coil pack bolt..

I know exactly what hose you are talking about. I spent 45 minutes trying to get that bolt off with a deep well before I gave up and did the plug/header swap with it still on there. I'm pretty sure that hose is for the heater. I was at a friends house and didn't have a good set of pliars to get that hose off with. My next project is a heads and cam swap and I promise you those coils are coming off this time! heh..

For what it's worth, I didn't have to touch either coil packs to change the plugs. The last plug on the passenger side can be changed from underneath the car.
Less the two hours for all 8 plugs.
Good luck!

Dont worry about breaking the bolt. I tried to break it off by pulling up on the coil pack frame and it wouldnr break.
I bought some gear wrenchs like above. Im gonna try that next.
