Default how much of a gain...

Im in the process of getting headers and i was just wondering how much of a gain will i get if i get a new Y pipe with it? i know it will be better... but how much of a difference. What i originally wanted to do was just run straight pipe then the flowmasters... or would that be to loud?

Thx

true duals will make more power than a ypipe.

the amount of difference will be determined by your car and its mods.

flowmasters dumped will be loud, but it should sound sweet.

i'm running 3" pipes into an X, then two magnaflow 4x9 mufflers dumped at the axle. with the cam its loud, but not horrible.

Actually, i like the sound of flowmaster, it has that hollow sound, thats what i like for some reason but thats just my opinion (or maybe the hollow is cuz i have no cats?). I was going to run straight and for the flows to be right under my seats but i was told that there wasnt enough space for them? that i had to go with bullets, but bullets... they sound to loose for me, like a truck or of some sort...

Do you have emissions in your state?

Mustangs with flowmasters sound sweet. Personally, I don't like flowmasters with LS1s. How extreme are you planning on going with the car? Think about future mods so that you don't have to pay for the same thing twice.

I always thought mustangs sounded nice, that hollow sound... but i always tought it was cuz of the X pipe and as far for my project car... i really dont wanna go all out on it, i just want 400Hp a little more wont bother, 450 tops.
