everything you bolt on w/o serious labor, full exhaust, intake, pulley, etc. i guess you could throw free mods in there too.

Headers, high flow cats or no cats, under drive crank pully, cat back or true dual exhaust, FAST 90 mm intake, and 90 mm throttle body, ram air induction with smooth bellows should just about cover the bolt ons..do those mods and add a cam and upgraded valve train with a set of good heads and your in the mid to high 400 rear wheel horse power range...depending on the quality of the heads and size of the cam... if that is not enough then put some NOS to it ...

installuniversity.com and ls1howto.com have some good writeups.

its pretty straight forward. if its your first time just go slow and carefully, or youll quickly learn to work like that

good luck and enjoy having money in your pocket for now haha

exhaust, intake, under drive pulleys are pretty basic. the intake manifold and headers are kinda bitch due to not being easily accessible. Cam, heads, valve train are not really "bolt on" and are not to be installed by a first timer unless you do your research and have the ***** to step up to the challenge. plus don't forget you do heads and cam and valve train you have to tune it to work together. And unless you know what your doing you have to take it to a local pro to get it tuned

Don't forget about a lid and ported throttle body. Two VERY big bang for the buck mods.

The best ever.

Fast 90mm intake TB combo

Full exhaust, including headers and no or hi-flow cats

Cam

A real dyno tune

Remove all the air pump crap (if you want)

Sub-frame connectors

Lid with a bellow

New plug with MSD wires

A higher stall converter(maybe)

This would be my combo if I had money.

This will be good for the 400Hp range and still will have good MPG and a long engine life.

The rear end, maybe. If you don't launch often might last for a while.

You guys have given some good advice but I don't think you have really answered the question. Cam and heads are not considered bolt ons.

When people say they have "bolt on's" they are talking about things that can be unbolted and bolted back on without opening up the engine.

Starting from the front.

Air Lid
Mass Air Flow -useless imo
Smooth Bellow-also useless imo
Ported Throttle Body
Upgraded Intake
Full Exhaust system-headers,y pipe, catback or true duals
Under Drive Pulleys
Electric Water Pump

When people say "full bolt on's" that is the list that I think of but most people are missing a couple of those items. If they have all that plus a cam or heads I would expect them to say "Cam and full bolt on's" or "Heads, Cam, full bolt on's"

lol great so there is no clear cut&dry definition of "full bolt-ons". It appears to vary slightly from person to person haha

Nevertheless this is all still great information, thanks for the help

I had no idea that there was a price limit to "bolt ons"....a Fast 90 can be bought new for $699 and up..or used for considerable less .... or a sheet metal intake or a Harrop can cost thousands ....headers can be as inexpensive as $279 or as high as $900 + depending on the product and where it is purchased...are they too expensive to be considered bolt ons.... ... where is it said that there is a price cap on a bolt on part ... a bolt on is a bolt on in my book no mater what the cost ...
