it allows something to be turned on between a certain "window" of rpm range. i.e. nos from lets say 3500-6000rpms. once the car hits 3500 rpms, the nos kicks on and then shuts off at 6000. but it can be used for other stuff besides nos.

Its a fail safe so to speak, so if you miss a shift while spraying (for example), you don't blow yo **** up.

Yep its so you dont blow yo car up.Ive seen that at the track and it really sucks!!Its a cool setup though.
