Default how fast do these motors get tired?

what (on average) would the power difference be between a ls1 with, say, 130,000 miles vs one with 80,000 and one with 30,000?

Some cars in the higher mileage range make more power because they are looser it really just depends on the car...

Yeah I'd say higher mileage ones tend to have the same power if not alittle more.

My car factory stock ran 13.3 with 110k on the odometer. It now has 137k with H/C and is still running fine spinning up to 6800 RPMs.

only 66 hp increase on a 100 shot... what brand are you using, most Nitrous kits actually give more than their rated shot. either way sounds like a sick car for the money you got in it

bought car with 50k on it in 05, had 298HP at the wheels...

car now has 135k on it... has 380HP...

something's weird with these tired old engines... they get quicker with age!

65,000 on the clock with mine, and it is faster than ever. There's been some maintenance in that time period (oil changes and a busted power steering pump), but nothing major with the engine itself.

kinda funny how these motors burn oil, have pistol slap, etc... yet run for so long without issues.

depends on the oil you use, if my engine was to use Mobil 1 again, it would drink it at a rate of 1 quart per 1000 miles.

On German Castrol Syntec 0w30, it uses half a quart per 10000 miles... though my oil analysis says 10k is pushing it a bit, it was still "ok".

ran 13.4 at 98 (no 4th) at 125k. The only thing mechanical that has gone wrong is a tranny rebuild. But I attribute that to racing on it. The engine has performed flawlessly, and runs strong everyday. I have 150k on it now, and its getting to be that time of year. When the good racing weather comes out. looking for 12.9s before thanksgiving.

My 2001 Fbody has 110K and seems to run as strong if not stronger than when new. Of course I took care of it with regular synthetic oil changes.

81K on the 2004 GTO, not an issue whatsoever except needing a new MAF due to some water getting in the intake

13.2 @ 109 recently

my ls1 has 136k miles, pulls hard to about 7000rpm on stock sealed motor.
no misfire, no stumble, doesnt consume any oil, or has blowby

on another note my dd rcsb 4.8 sierra has over 260k miles, and thats rough miles, towin, racing, and gettin on its. all it has is cai. burns no oil, gets excellent mpg, drips no oil, pulls hard, no misfires, still on stock, wp, alt. and starter
has for some reason been feeling getting faster. its chirping the wheels more often and feels more aggressive lately, no piston slap.
i even took out a bolt ons cai lt1 camaro and a bolt ons mod motor mustang from a dig and a roll,
