Default oil change light

i changed my oil and my oil change light is still on, is there a way to reset it or something?

turn the key to the on position and push in the gas pedal twice and it should reset

yes. You want to turn the ignition to on but don't start the car. Pump the gas all the way to the floor 3 times. Turn the car off and then start the car.

Pressing the gas pedal will work in a TA/Firebird but if your Camaro was equipped with the oil change light, you just have to have the key on, engine off and hold the trip/oil change button(by the odometer) for a few seconds until the oil change light flashes.

on my 99, just turn key but dont start. hold / press in trip odometer thing for 12 seconds. near the end the oil light will flash then go out. wallah, your reset! so simple even i can do it!

Gas pedal method works on all GM models that have an oil change light.
