Default need help is this car a good deal

ok the cars at a dealership, I just saw it on the internet. I waiting for a callback to get more info, but heres what I have, not much. the car a 98 z28/m6 and it has 89K and change on it, from what im gathering its probably a low optioned baseish z28. theres just using a canned description for the car and theres no pictures, both of these scare me. the price $5591. is that low?? like I said im waiting for a callback. good deal or no??

that really doesnt sound to bad, i would go check it out and drive it and make sure everything is in good working condition, shifting through all the gears at low and high rpms and other mechanical problems, also look for paint imperfections etc...

yeah, never got a call back, it was only about 1.5 hours before closing though. Ill see if I get a call tomorrow, this car is basically exactly what ive been looking for, hardtop, hopefully, cloth interior, AC, M6. its red and red is probably my least favorite color, but it can be dealt with.

anything else I should pay close attention to if I go see the car?

I agree with 98TransAm. The price sounds pretty fair. When and if you get the chance to check it out, definately look it over good & drive it. If you're serious, you could pay to have it looked at by a reputable mechanic and/or also order a vehicle history report based off the VIN. Remember there are a lot of these cars out there for sale if ya look around. So show patience. Good luck!

That is a bit low for a stealer. Usualy something like that would be 7500+.

Worth checking out though.

I also thought it was low for a dealer, the dealers site actually has a link you can hit to get a carfax, I hit it and a full report came up, it was clean, but last reported mileage was around 62k I think, the car now has 89k. last registered 11/07. if I go see it I will ask for another one.

actually here in florida, salvage titled cars can only be sold for export, I dont believe a salvage titled car can even be registered in the state.

i would say its fair. just take it out and beat the hell out of it. if it does anything weird dont buy it. and of course check everything. leaks, rear, tranny, interior, like everyone else already said.
