Cat and headers

Hey guys. I have a bad Catalytic Converter on my 2001 SS. I really dont want to replace unless its needed. I want to put headers on my car. Do the headers attach to the cats or are the cats removed when headers are installed. Thanks!

If you buy long tubes you will effectively remove your cats unless u get a catted ORY.

In Florida, theres no emissions. We haven't had them for about 8 years.

Technically LT's are illegal even with cats cause it moves them further back making them less efficient not that it matters to me

Get the Pacesetter coated LT headers w/off road y-pipe on E-Bay for $530 shipped and there is a guy on the wanted section that buys your old cats for $160.

they are no longer paying $160 they pay $60 now for them since the material cost have gone down
