If they ask you why you are bringing it way out here. Just tell them you have had bad experiences at other shops and when you searched on the internet you heard that Levis does good work so you decided to bring your vette here.

I can see why he's calling around.. Since the car would obviously need to be towed to the dealership.. But I mean if you want to call anyone call the GM 1-800 number and talk to them over the phone.. They'll ask you the vin number.. And mileage of the car..
Then they should ask you what's the problem you are having and not take your word for it.. So they'll be like bring it to the "closest" dealership to you and our technicians will check it out.. Yada yada yada..
Now since you are giving them the vin number over the phone.. They'll run it through their system.. So any discrepancies should be noticed then.. If they don't tell you anything.. Don't say **** and go along with whatever thy tell you.. Bring that car to the dealership that you feel most "comfortable" with aka one that you haven't told it was reconstruction title.. And let them do their thing..
Now if they yank the motor out and notice some ****.. I'd play like Stevie Wonder.. Because I wouldn't see ish.. And just hope for the best and that they fix it.. It's not your fault that it spun a bearing.. It would have happened regardless because the car was pretty badly damaged and it doesn't take rocket science to see that moving parts in a motor mm's apart from each other are moving at a high rate of speed at any traumatizing shock can set them off and cause some kind of balance issue that can lead to spun bearings.. Etc
Do you know what kind of accident the car was in?? Front end/side impact/rear ended??
Because if they yank the motor and find some frame damage or see some welds where they shouldn't be then you might be in for a surprise.. (not saying that to deter you in any way.. Because I'd still bring my car to them) because they might not even notice.. But I am just curious to see..

From my experiences with Dodge they have never checked title info for warranty work. Always just ask for the VIN and thats a wrap. Its been to the dealership several times, but never for something as serious as a engine replacement. Id bring it to Levis, and not say a word about the title.
