LOL i dont like to run for money. Its hard enough to come up with as it is and i dont just want to hand it over. Example: i have the cash to buy all new parts to fix my car but i was hopping to find some cheaper used parts so i would have some mod cash.

Shane if you really wanted, and if its in your budget, you could do a lot with that iron block. You could always have it stroked and bored, and turbo that puppy with some serious boost. Hell if your lucky and look around, you might even find someone wanting to do just that and just do a complete trade out right for their aluminum block. You just really never know until you go out and look around on here, people wanting all kinds of **** on tech.

How long did it take you to get the table level? "Is the table level?" should have been my first question.

You should get some red chalk so that you don't get blue **** all over the felt.

lol. You just had to catch me with that g0Ofy as look on my face. Driving Cody's car was like a bad dream. Cody, get that **** put in your car. Its hard to believe that my car used to feel like that. Its like the more I mod it, the more it feels the same. That is, until you drive another f body with less mods. Felt like there was something there literally choking the life outta the car. Must be the camshaft and the gears lol.

I was looking through my time slips tonight, turns out my best 60ft was a 1.63 and not a 1.62, unless I lost the slip or something. Guess I am gonna have to change the sig...And the car was acting 10x better when I pulled in the drive at home, like we never touched it. I did push the clutch on the interstate on the way home close to my house and it did still stall out. SES light still on

Shane with a 9.5:1 ratio that 5.3 has u could probably put 12psi on it safely and make good power. If I were in your situation thats what I'd do when I got some funds. To me it makes no sense to boost a 10.25:1 LS1. You have what could be a lethal setup.

Has anyone here ever pulled the pan off there LS motor with it still in the car? If you havent dont!!! Its a major PITA. I pulled the y pipe out, the pass. motor mount bolt and jacked that side of the motor up. It might not be too hard with a stock ls1 pan but pulling a truck pan off of a fbody sucks. The worst part is having to put you arm between the pan and block to pull the middle bolt off of the pickup. I trusted my hand split fire wood with its angle cuts and my POS jacks. Lets hope the pan i ordered will fit this motor and i should have it DONE and on the road by hump day.

I've done mine twice and about to do it a third time (getting a new pan). I figure it's the truck pan giving you the hassle, but if you would drop the k-member down it would give you several more inches of clearance. I have an engine hoist though and you didn't mention that so I'm assuming you don't. I can have mine out in about 45min-1hr dropping the k-member down using the hoist for the motor.

Yea i dont have one, nor a truck to pick one up. I know a few of people that have them but dont have there number lol. As far as dropping the k-member, i dont have any jack stands to hold the body up.

Shoulda said something about the stands. I've got like 10 of'em. Just collected over the years somehow. A simple a-frame or something similar will work as a hoist. Get Steve to show you his one day. We were scepticle about it at first, but it held nicely lol.

Thats when you borrow **** when he's away or sleeping. Been there done that too. The adrenaline of getting caught makes you work faster I think lol. Didn't seem to take as long as usual. My stepdad was like that, so my mom would call me when he went fishing and I'd haul *** to his shop which was literally around the corner and do what I needed to and left lol. That was back when I was like 18 and on my own.
