shoe polish I was referring to was for the numbers on the window, I washed them off this morning. For the rims, last time I used some of ashleys makeup. Turns out I am slipping them about 1 1/4 on the launch, even with the slippage I still turned out a 1.59 60ft. My car unloads pretty bad on the launch, I moved the lca's up one hole and see if I can keep it from spinning after the hit, without any tire spin, I might get a 1.58 or better hopefully. I am getting close to chris' 60's :-)

Hilton, if you are pulling the engine from the bottom, don't even mess with the power steering until the engine is on the ground out from under the car.

Bottom line: Did you have a blast?

How many folks turned out? I'm kinda curious after Thunder Road's last post about the 5 cars in the parking lot...

not alot of people. Maybe a couple cars in front of you each time. My mph went 103-105-108 each different run. I have a couple issues with the car. One-last week i changed from a 3.60 pulley to a 3.20 pulley, had it tuned and all. My boost is still at 9 like it was with the larger pulley. What would be causing that. Leak? BOV? I wish there was a shop around here that fooled with this kinda stuff. I really wish that boost would get right. should be at 12 pounds with that 3.2 pulley.

my best was 11.98 with only a 1.7x 60ft. Seems like no matter what I do I keep busting these tires loose on the hit. My nose pops and drops really fast, stock shocks and springs are wore the hell out I guess. Was still fun, wasn't so hot after 8pm, not bad at all. I don't think they did any prep on it while I was there. P2 you need to scrap those heavy *** 18's for the track. I made a pass on streets for fun and did 12.8 with a 2.0 60ft at 110. I did a john force burnout for fun. You get more practice and some decent tires you could probably run a pretty low 12. Hell you knocked off .8 just getting used to the track. More time and you could have probably ran a time close to mine on the street tires.

no its off. If you watch that video of me and you, you can really see the nose pop pretty hard and come down. I was even doing 2nd gear burnouts and getting them hotter than usual. I also tried running on exactly a half tank of gas this time to see if that help, it didn't. It feels like it dead hooks, then a little ways out starts to give a little, very frustrating. I tried slipping it one time and smelled clutch for only like the 3rd time since I had it, which for as much as I paid for it I didn't like. I need to get some really good vids of the launch and watch them at home. It could be the prep, but I think its my car

Yea I live in South Bossier

Yea because its not as much an instant voltage drop & demand on it. rolling in & out the throttle reduces it. A alternator going bad can attribute to it as well.. That was what happened to mine this last time we tuned it.

I'm goin wed to HPP to pick it up my car. Hopefully they done tuning so I can get the rest of my front end parts on & start lineing it out. I prolly goin to try Gearheads in Arlington next time around i get sum tuning done. I have been hearing sum good things about them.
Have you done any suspension/rear end mods??? Seems like with your HP you should be in the high 11s even on nittos.

naw man.. no suspension mods. I have some unresolved issues going on with my car as of lately. Mainly with the boost. Yeah ive been using hpp for my tuning but thinking of switching also. I think he has my car tuned way back because of the higher mileage and he admitted that its scary having it on the dyno but i beat the **** out of it and its a tough car. LOL. I dont blame him tho for not wanting that blood on his hands but still, i built the car to be somewhat fast. It seems i gained nothing from my cams while others gained a tremendous amount with these cams. A friend of mine has same car with same mods and same cams and is at 470 at the wheels. Just dont get it? and im loosing boost somewhere.
