well i went to the track last night and it was hooking great, not many cars there so i didn't have to wait long in line. the air was a little worse that i thought it would be (weatherman said it was suppose to be about 8 degrees cooler) but still wasn't to bad i guess.

I still haven't been able to go. I'm dying to get out there, car or no car.
I'm at a standstill as far as the engine build goes. The windage tray and oil pan gasket won't be here until Monday at 10am, and Kittlers was closed Friday.
I clay'd the head and there is a TON of room to mill. Of course the measuring was done with compressed lifters and an uncompressed gasket.

I am wanting to get out there. I need to get some rims for the drag radials and install my lca's first. The wheel hop on my car is terrible, I hope they fix it. I also have to get my brother to go with me and bring his trailer. I may not be able to make it home because my rear does not sound too healthy and a good launch might take it out. Anybody have a good 9" laying around that you want to trade for a turbo kit?

Well if any of you have heard a dear friend of mine Chad Roach passed away last night. I know a lot of us on here know him. Clint called me today at work and gave me the news. From what I know so far he was riding his chopper, lost control somehow and flipped it. I believe he died instantly. I will know more later. Good friend of mine since we were both around 19 or so, shared a pad and fixed many rides together. We even both got into f-bodies at the same time. I got one and that bastard showed up on my lawn with one just 2 weeks later. Was one of the baddest painters I have ever seen. Boy could lay down flames on a car straight from hell. I will miss him dearly. I could honestly say he was one of my best and truest friends throughout the years. One of those guys that would do anything for his friends, and stand up for you when you werent around. R.I. P.

I have known Chad for a long time. He was a good friend and would do anything you ever needed. I feel for him and his family, especially his daughter. Chris please let me know about the funeral arrangements. Thx

no problem. I called michael payne after I talked to you, he was pretty much in shock like I was. We both went to his house to see Rhonda and the family. I think more than anything I am really pissed, its just so unnecessary,it was definitely before his time.

I wouldn't mind rebuilding it. It drives me crazy going down the road. I know engines but I have never rebuilt a rear end. I also wouldn't mind getting a 9" if I come across one.

Well we made it to hot springs and back with out any car trouble. It took half a tank to get there and back. If it wasnt for Sarah Evans having the concert it would have been a huge waist of gas, time, and money. Had more fun taking the twistys in the T/A than anything though.
