Alright, serious topic now: I met a guy tonight who has a 2005 Mustang GT. I did not see the car. He said he bought it recently from a friend who put a bunch of money in it. KB supercharger, engine built by someone special in the Ford world. Said he ran 10.30s at 131 in Gilliam, with a 1.60 60'. Guy's name is Nathan. Full of **** or quick car? I kept my mouth shut. Anyone know this guy?

the info that you got on the car is true...the car isnt an 05 i dont think, but it is blue, it is everything he said it was...he is friends with tom poston's brother so i called him and tried to get a race with this car but was denied...the guy said he had more tuning to do on the car...so i dunno.

This is what I got on the car from another website. Im assuming its the same car....
"A guy I knows car got traded in and ended up at Hughes Deals on Wheels in front of the base. It has a everything on it. Full front suspension with a AJE K member, full Baseline Suspensions rear suspension, A Fox Lake 5.0 stroker motor with Stage III Fox Lake heads and stage II cams. A Kenne Bell 2.2 with a Killer Chiller. A P/A built 4R75W with a Lentech auto VB, transbrake, and a ratchet shifter and a Ultimate converter. It has all Moser stuff in the rear end. It also has a 6pt cage with harnesses. He had invested a good $80K it the car including the purchase price. They probably gave him 10k trade in and showed him trade allowence us to 15 or some ****. I know one ticket alone on it from Dallas Mustang was over 30K. Saw it with my own 2 eyes. I someone want a sick GT that has a motor you can put the world on top of they need to pick that bad boy up. Id personally, swap it to a 4V, and put a turbo kit on it and make 1,000,000.00hpssss"
Says it makes 697 on 20psi

The car is not an '05, it's a 99-04 car, and it is blue. The car is pretty impressive (for a 2V Mustang) and very well built. I don't know about the 10.30 claim but, I've seen it run a 10.80 at Thinder Road.

Ive seen a couple new 911's running around lately. Just last night I saw 2 silvers ones within about 30 seconds.

If that car won't run a low 10 with almost 700rwhp it needs a better driver, better suspension, better tires or a combination of all three.
#5736
Maybe so. All Im saying is that it is a little more difficult to believe just because someone said so, as opposed to Coleman actually seeing it run a 10.8.

Well,
Me, Beau, & Allen went to Gearheads yesterday. Thing 2 got all tuned up ... Decided not to do the high boost at this time. Travis & I were kind of pressed for time.. They are definetly 200% more professional than HPP. They start work @ 9am. Told me to be there @ 9:30 & car was goin on the dyno at 10 Also Travis didn't take a 1 hour break in between pulls. He stayed with the car till it was done. Started tuning around 10:30 & he was test driving the car at 1:30... That'll never happen @ hpp.
Weather sucked ***** (it was rainin when we got there & then thesun came out so humidity was off the chart) so the #'s were kinda down , but the car runs AWESOME & that's the most important part to me.
19LBS. boost on pump gas 17 deg. timing
546HP/546TQ
Very good conservative DD tune IMO
19LBS. boost with sum Race gas mixed in with pump gas 20 deg. timing
569HP/566TQ
Travis said in sum ideal dry cool weather that 560hp on pump gas could easily happen...
I'm gonna go back after my honeymoon & see what it can do in November with 24lbs of boost!
Very happy & strong for a 2.3 whipple on stock 4.6 with stock cams & twin disk.
I got a couple things to iron out now I can drive it. like clutch adjustment & rear brake caliper adjustment, but nothing big.

Yea that's the same issue with my clutch...of course I had to get it back driving to be able to work on it. I cruised around last night for a bit just to enjoy it. I didn't go look for any action.

I was driving for a brief time last night also. Not looking for anything (I have other wheels/tires when I expect something) LOL but its was nice weather nonetheless. Street tires are absolutely worthless when I even think about getting into boost
