shreveport/bossier hang out!
Ive got to buy another radiator. The howe wont work, i need a double pass. Im leaving street tires on it for awhile. Most people get butt hurt when they get beat so someone is going to have to just keep at me about racing in order for me to change tires. Plus i live a hour from shreveport and will be on the road a lot. Im going to buy 2 back wheels and some full slicks for when i take it to the track.

$112 shipped for 4 stock rotors. Paid $169 for my zink coated slotted and drilled. Did a test and picked up 10 feet over my old stock rotors from 50mph stop. Still a good deal of u wanna go back to stock style.
Just taking advantage of the cheap as hell price, since this paycheck isn't the play one. Then around the 15th i'll be looking for LS6 intake and if I can't find i'll do SFCs, Control arms and idk what else. Have been contemplating the tune too but I would prefer LS6 first.

Cheap slotted and drilled rotors are very prone to cracking...its been proven over and over again. Unless you wanna pony up for the expensive slotted rotors, I think a stock type blank is best budget option. I guess if people wanna do the cheap ones for looks then I can understand, but that's not really my thing.
Got my exhaust all bent and cut. Just have to weld up the collectors and mufflers. Also fabbed up a trans crossmember but not sure i like it. I had nothing to go buy when i started so i just took a 6' piece and bent it where i thought it needed to be and its really close but i want better than close. Think im going to buy another stick and do it again now that i have something to go by. Ill post pics of the crossmember in a few.
My bending skills are getting pretty good.
This was the first 2 bends. The drivers side needed one more bend. Ill take pics of it all welded up and under the truck when its finished.

Lots of practice, trial and error, money, and trashed materials lol. Cant give up my secrets.
Going to do a roll cage soon and if it turns out good and passes tech i may start helping people seeing as there is only one guy in town that i know of and he is high and super hard to get a hold of. Once you get a hold to him the wait is sickening.

Ive got to get seats for my truck and after that ill start on my cage. My truck "should" be done by august 1st. If so ill take it to the track to see if it will pass. I doubt they pass it because im not going through my back window. They will let me know if my hoop and door bars pass though. I just want to know if the bends and welds can pass if that makes sense.
