No Wade, when i put the trans in i have about 1/4 inch before the converter hits the flex plate. We done some research and there is a common problem with 700r4. Inside the pump there is a bushing sleeve that tends to walk forward on new transmissions. When it walks forward it blocks the drain back hole and causes the trans to keep building pressure. The front seal is the weakest link and thats where the pressure goes.

I pulled my trans today to find a good pump seal that was blown out of the front pump. It wasnt all the way out but it pushed it out far enough to blow the pressure out of the bottom of the seal where it meets the pump. I flicked the seal with my fingernail and the seal popped out onto the input shaft. Taking it to my builder around 6 and he is going to pull it apart and see if thats what the problem is. If that is all thats wrong the trans it may be back in tonight. I sure do hope this is the last time it comes out for awhile. Next time it comes out ill be selling it and buying a built th400 and a big *** stall. If i cant have OD why not have a big stall?

SD tunes They r not needed. No maff and no 02s. My car has been tuned that way for 50,000 miles. Has been driven in as high as 120deg to-15deg weather. When u have a SD tune I always suggest get a wideban.

What a great day today. I finally got to meet Tom at Rockstar Energy and sign the official contract for sponsorship. I'm very excited about this opportunity. I think this is gonna lead to great things. Luckily he got to meet a few of the local guys. Chris was here and Johnny was here as well. I had a good time hanging out fellas. Tom be safe on your long trip back to the office. I enclosed a couple of photos Thanks for the grab bag.

I really appreciate the hospitality gentlemen. It's nice when you are so far from home. I'm stopping in Longview for the night. I hope this is the last one of these drives I have to make.

In other good news aside from Jonny and Steve's, I have decided I am going to sponsor Hilton in his toughman contest. We wish you the best in the event.

And, good to meet you Chris, your FI setup is very sweet. For the others who showed interest, I will keep you in mind for future upcoming promotions.

Tom @ Rockstar Energy

I have an SD tune and my o2's are still functional. On a side note it was good to meet you Tom. I am sure steve and johnny are gonna have a blast with whats going to happen with their rides. And I appreciate the case of Rockstar, ashley will be sure to drink them. Tom I see you did decide to cancel your sponsorship with tech, sorry to see that, I hear they want a butt load of $$ to be a sponsor on here

Yes u can still have them functional i do and that's what most tuners will do if u don't have a wide ban which I didn't have at 1st. A full SD tune they loose them completely. Had a few turners tell me I don't have a full SD tune because My o2s kick on at 1500rpms. I'm open loop till 1500 And at 1500 it kicks into closed loop.

Congrats on the sponsorship fellas! That's awesome!!! Tom, I'm glad you were able to find some quality cars to sponsor in the area.

As far as SD tunes go, it is always wise to leave the front O2s on. That way, when there is a weather change it will continue to run properly. It is a "true" SD tune. That's the way cars before mafs ran, it's the way the tuning schools teach as well. The fact that you don't run a maf makes it true SD. So, those people who told you it wasn't ought to read up on that.

Now, when you tune it (in order to tune it properly), you tune without the sensors on and use a wideband, but once you're done, turn them back on so the cars can adjust to weather and driving conditions.

Oh...Andy, the O2 sensors didn't cause your car to run rich. They were correcting the rich condition caused by you changing your intake. Just fyi.

Ok because I ran into a lil bit of a problem taking the o2's out today, and todd i'll be giving you a call once I sell this borla cat back. They were so hard to break loose that I had to spray a lil wd-40 to break them loose, and once they were loose I got like a half of a turn then it was super hard again So I stopped bc i didn't wanna strip anything out. By the way here's the car

Thanks for clearing that up Todd, and Ivory that thing is quiet at idle but sounded nice when you romped on it. I'm guessing you're going with dumps? You should sell those wheels

Just what Todd said.

You can have an open loop tune in speed density or MAF based. Speed density has nothing to do with the 02's, only the functional status of the MAF.

Open loop SD
Closed loop SD
Open loop MAF
Closed loop MAF

All are options.

Yeah, I was hoping he had two cases in the trunk but no such luck. Nothing like a fridge full of energy drinks to get you jump started every morning before work
