Anyone know someone with a red Z28 with Arkansas plates and 2 a pillar gauges? I ran into him last night going to a party and he seemed like he wanted to run but too much traffic. seemed like the catback was a flowmaster. I wanted to think Ren but I don't know if he drives it on the street. Curious to know who it was and what it has..

New track manager, looks like there might be some good thing in store for us. If I didnt have to go out of town every week for work I might get my car finished.

New clutch is on the way for the car. Decided to go with an LS7 over the spec 3 again. After much debate, I think I'm just gonna build something to race and keep the car as an all around fun ride and I think this clutch will serve me well for these duties.
Shane, where do you work at again? I need to get my wheels rebalanced. What time do yall close during the week and on saturdays?

check this out guys. slowly tuning my car here but twice so far after some hard WOT pulls. My balancer actually starts coming off. I've impacted the hell out of it. If I were to key it, would that help fix the problem or possibly bad machined pulleyis the case? It's an ATI 10% underdrive.
I've also thought about loctite the **** out of it but I don't really know if that would be a good fix for it.

Thread lock is a must, you have to tq it down to 240# back the bolt off and tq it back down. Are you using a stock bolt? If so tq it to 240# and replace the bolt. I didn't have a tq wrench that would go to 240 but it went to 180 and we put about a 1/4 turn on it and I haven't had any problems. I need to check my headers again I checked them @ 500mi and I looked the other day and o got 1100mi on it, gonna change the oil and look @ a few plugs.

COLD is absolutely correct. TQ it, Back off, Retorque, Thread Lock. If using stock bolt, you must replace it after it's been torqued once. You do not want that thing coming off when going down the road....causes lots of damage if it comes up instead of down.

ARP crank bolts are known to back out. I quit using them.
If it's a stock bolt, use an old one that has already been stretched to seat the pulley on the crank (if you don't have the proper crank pulley installer). The 240 ft.lbs. is a value only needed to seat the pulley on the crankshaft. After its seated, you insert your new bolt in and torque it to 37 ft./lbs. + 140*. I don't use loctite and have never had a OEM bolt back out.

If you get the bolt from dealership it will have the thread locker on it. 37# plus turn it 140*
I seated mine but make sure all your pulleys line up.
