^^^also to add to that i have volunteered a 4.10 gear swap. so with the motor/trans/rear-end/suspension/interior gone. it will effectively be a shell with a wiring harness. this should be pretty damn fun...

Heh, yeah, bumpers have to come off too. I'm also going to finally figure out how to adjust the t-tops so that they don't leak. Getting the 1969 Z28 badges from Scott too, just as a little something extra.
Whole bunch of nitrous **** for sale soon.
WOW, nice sig Steve.

Going back mostly stock. Nothing too exciting. Maybe a small cam if I can find one reasonably priced. 4.10s with that GTO transmission should be pretty fun. Same setup Galen has.
Hey Cody, want to sell that cam and buy Steve's.

I know. I'm just building a little street car.
I just made a deal on a cam.
550/550 220/224 115lsa
should be ALMOST like stock.
Or, maybe I'll surprise you and leave the nitrous kit installed. Nothing like an 85 shot followed by a 125 shot to wake up an engine.

Thats fair. Let me know. Whats the big deal about the gears having to break in. I'm sure every race car you see that changes gears dont put any (break in miles) on them before they make any passes. just my 2c....

thats fine when you have a nine inch. the ten bolt lives on borrowed time right from the beginning, so anything you can do to give it a fighting chance is worth a shot. And besides that, Motive makes the gears and recommend 500 miles break in. i dont presume to know more about gears then motive does.

Breaking them in does nothing as far as adding life to the gears. It is basically for helping to keep them quite. You can have them broke in right and really quite for months then make you one trip to the track and pull some low 1.6's they will be raising hell anyways. Ten bolts will never be quite long if you go to the track.
