What track are you headed to? Did anyone go to that breakfast thing this morning?

I wasn't able to make it this morning. My tune still isn't right and puts it in REP mode andI'm waiting on a new MAP sensor to hopefully cure the issue. While I'm waiting, I went ahead and ordered new pushrods and troubleshot a couple little leaks.

Steve, I am going to shoot you a PM just to maybe get a new perspective on a little issue.

So I'm 6 miles from home and my voltage starts acting funny. It'll act like it's not charging then I can get on it an it goes back up, and letting off also does the same thing. I drove 300 miles yesterday and not a problem out of it. I'm tapped into the 5v IAT sensor for power, is that a reliable source? Should I draw from the TPS instead? This **** is getting stupid.

You know what I think the fix is......12v source with a resistor bumping the voltage down some instead of using a pre-existing sensor power source. Its the only permanent fix. I'd also like to know the usable voltage that the regulator would need to fully excite without "over exciting." That sounded dirty.....

From what I've been reading it's anywhere between 4v and 9v. Another problem is we were already short two 12 v sources, so where do we pull another one from? Fuse box?

No, spun a rod bearing. I think the damage started when I threw a belt the other day and over heated it pretty bad. I finished it off at the track. The motor always had low oil pressure issues, now I know why.

Turns out coolant was never low. It was heat from the friction of the spun bearing at the track. It wasn't until the car was cold later that night that I could hear the knocking. When I cranked it in the morning, it was unbearable.

That sucks! However, now you have an opportunity to really make that thing run.
