It'll be a few weeks before I can come play again. I just brought home a newborn so he's at the top of the list.
I have never really gotten into non diesel performance, so I would love to meet some of you guys and learn a little bit. Might be a month or so before I make it up there again myself. I bet some of you guys have some nasty stuff.

We were thinking it’s around 800 RWHP, even cutting weight the truck is around 7000 lbs with a lot of unsprung weight of the 37X14.5s on 20s. That and running it in 4X4 soaks up a lot of MPH. I know lots in the diesel would calculate HP like this: derrrrr I have a cold air intake and a 200HP chip with another 200 HP chip so I'm making 900HP derrrrr; but talking to some very smart people based on ETs and MPH we think it’s about 800 RWHP and 1500 ftbs (the tq is a guess based on what other trucks have done on the dyno but we feel good about this number).

It has a suncoast built trans/converter. Rods, cut and ceramic coated pistons ARP mains/headstuds balanced etc. etc. 60% oversized injectors, a lift pump, 2 high pressure fuel pumps. Triple turbo kit (a twin feeding sequentially into the third high pressure turbo) built by Scott at SDP. I run EFI live for the programing by Idaho Rob (he has low 9 second Dmax @ 6000lbs)

A few pics of the truck (the gold one)

And I do like that socket table, but if you need a socket that would be a huge troll to have one sitting there that you couldn't use....

It's weird to me seeing a modern production block that still looks like a sbc.

Knowing more about the truck I'd have to agree on the power. I by no means am an expert on diesel's but power is power and I can tell from the specs your estimation is close. Of course don't let the other guys dyno numbers fool you. What you are doing is the best way to measure power. To dyno yours now would be interesting since you have the times prior to the numbers. Seems so many guys get their feelings hurt when its the other way around.

Anyways, ill say it again, that's a nice truck. Your running what a lot of cam only fbods run so you'd have some close races with a lot of guys here. Like so close it would boil down to who leaves first. I like those races the best.

I need to quit being cheap and buy some slicks. All this talking has me wanting to go run mine now. Anxious to see where its at with all the new mods.

let me know next time you plan to go up there. It’s going to be at least a month before I have time/funds to do any more mods to it but I’ll go up there to watch you guys run. Maybe run on once or twice. I'm new to the strip so I always want to learn more.
This winter when I move to ND I want to put a roll bar in, cut some more weight (figure 500 lbs would cut .4ish) it bigger injectors and some NO2 put it on 4 good tires and see if I can't put this thing into the 10s

7000lbs-500lbs=6500lbs probably won't equal 4 tenths in the quarter. Don't want you to be let down. That general rule of thumb 100lbs=.1 is very, very roughly estimated, and mostly accurate for street type cars in the 3-4k lbs. range. Things change big time when you start getting way above or below that weight threshold.

I remember that race day very well. We had well over 40 LS powered cars that day and many other makes and models. It was a great day to say the least. My car was down due to a tranny failure.

Hilton, the U.S. is becoming pretty fucked up with corporate and political greed. I'm equally sickened by the new fact that we are exporting more oil than we import. WTF!?!? I don't know the future, but its looking pretty messed up at this point. It doesn't seem to matter who's in office, its all for personal gain.

I WANT to export more than we import. That's a huge benefit.
If we could build all the cars HERE, using our steel and labor, THEN send them to China; I'd have no problem with that. It would be us sellin them a product and service.
That's how we as a country make money.

I agree 100% with keeping the work here. I just don't see the benefit in selling our oil and buying some one else's. If we can produce enough to satisfy our needs, then we can export the difference. We shouldn't be importing any if we can be energy independent. Anyway, China can **** off. We already owe them too much to support their economy rather than ours.

Anyone have some 225/50/17 tires they want to get rid of?

I need at least one, two would be better, four would be ideal.
