I've got some .025 cut 241s, fresh. They pull as hard or harder then stock 799s. I know, I've had both on my car.

I appreciate the offer, but I'm wanting a set of the 243/799s to send to AI for my 383 being redone with a 5.3 block. I was running the patriot 5.3 stage 2 heads without a problem. It just seemed like patriots weren't flowing enough for the increased displacement in the upper rpms. I'm gonna put them up for sale and use that money for some 243/799 stockers to send to AI. Don't wanna buy their cores for $700! Btw, how long did it take to get the heads back? Thanks.

There are several sets on ebay for around 375 shipped. It doesn't take long for them to get done...

I saw Josh R in a rush to get home today. He has to take his wife in to the hospital to have their baby. I snapped a pic when I was driving behind him..........

Hey so I don't have anything to do with the LS1, but this kept coming up on my search for info on thunder road. I ran up there a while ago and did ok on the 60 but then spun a lot though the 1/8th, are they having some traction issues up there and is there a better track in the area? It might be my setup, I'm just wondering what you guys are seeing. I am fairly new to the whole drag racing thing.
Thanks

I've hooked good there ever since running ET Streets. I've seen others complain though....

Tires and suspension. A stockish suspension will unload too fast which will cause the spinning through the 1/8th. I only have problems on drag radials but I have a manual so slicks are a must for me at my power level now. Before cam and heads I could run dr's and hook farely decent. There's a lot more that can cause the spinning but its mainly suspension related unless your putting down gobs of power in which case the track itself may not hold.

Yea tire/suspension is defiantly in question-I'm running a 4X4 truck with 37X14.2, all the tire companies look at me funny when I ask which one of their tires near that size will hook the best....Getting it to launch with the lift has taken some trial and error but got that down after messing around with the angels and limit straps. But then someone said it might be that tracks prep so figured I would ask around, thanks for the info think I’ll go try that track again tonight just b/c it’s the closest drive.
Last time was a 1.77 60, break lose 2nd and 3rd gear, bounce off there rev limiter from the tires spin (auto trans) and somehow pull off a 11.78 116.9 lol. I’m the idiot in the big gold duramax of you guys ever see me up there on a test and tune night.

Yes I always go in 4 hi, but my factory rear is no longer a posi, it didn't really care for the extra HP on pavement.... I was going to try going to another track just to get a little faster RT, but I need to stop messing around, get the truetrac (and driveshaft loops) in, put 4 33X10.5R16s on my spare rims and really get to breaking parts. Going up there tonight if any of you guys are going

And thanks, it fun to launch this gaint pile off the line and catch everyone off guard. Need to go up there and mess with some of the imports....

RT wont affect your time. Fixing the posi will definitely help out and most likely solve the spinning. One rear tire can only hold so much and with the times your putting down in that truck Im pretty sure your solidly in the 650hp/tq range if not more on the tq. That's a lot of power for that one rear tire once the weight transfers.

It'll be a few weeks before I can come play again. I just brought home a newborn so he's at the top of the list.
