It's starting to get awfully crowded on LSX Monsters. I can post something and with in a couple hours can't even find it again. At least I can post here and it stays in the same spot for a week, lol. That being said, can anyone suggest a place to take my vette for a good leak down test?

Buy the kit and do it yourself I say......
And yeah, Monsters has 500+ members and lots post regularly so it does get real crowded.....especially lately, and tons of them aren't local to us.

Looks like I'm gonna take the vette to Moore Performance in Longview next week. Let them do a leak down test and go from there on fixing it. Still being all busted up, I've been killing myself working on it. Working on it two days straight with four broken bones, one of which being my back, is too damn painful. I must say though, it does feel good to work on **** again.

Thanks man. I'm gonna go ahead and take it over there. I'm 90% sure its a ring issue so I'm hoping we can get away with re ringing the pistons. If not, machining and new pistons it is.
It could still be a valve seal issue but I doubt it because the smoke is constant. Either way I'd rather just find and fix the problem at the same time. Besides, I've got fucked up hours and won't have another weekend day off for six months. FML, lol.

No more smoke after a good 30 min drive with a little boost. Maybe it was the turbos and oil system after all. Just needed the remaining oil blown through the intake and exhaust. Fingers crossed. Feels good to drive her again after several months of being down. Although my not fully recovered ankles beg to differ.

Yep, prolly all it was. After I lost a rod and piston, the old headers smoked like a freight train on the new engine. I thought the new engine was fucked, but it was just the old oil in the primaries burning off after the engine failure.
