Finally got some track times

err..i should say track time...I was kicked off after the first pass.

I was jetted down to about the 630 rwhp level and not using the nitrogen push. Full tank of gas, approx 3525 race weight. Stock six speed manual with stock 3.42 ten bolt rear, Ram clutch, Panhard bar and LCA's, Draglites/ET streets.

Just wanted to make a shakedown pass since its been about a year since the last track runs with nitrous. Staged...reved to 4000 rpm and dumped the clutch and immediately sprayed,and then rowed through the gears casually.

1.55
6.734 at 107.10
10.398 at 134.95

Then was promptly told I needed a cage to run again. So I didnt get to hit it with the big shot or get a lil more agressive on the driving...oh well. The cage will be in soon. As will a real rear/gear/tire combo.

Let me get this straight, you went a 1.55 short time on the stock rear and 3.42 gears

does the rear make noise now

Hey Al, I know you took out timing with your special Maf tunning via frequence change, but did you also add fuel when the ECU see's the changed in frequence as well??

It was a private track day open to only about 75 cars. This track is fairly liberal enforcing the rules. So I decided to go ahead and make a few runs. I keep a lil extra tire pressure in there so it slips off the line a bit as not to grenade the rear. Although this 10 bolt has seen many high 10 second passes. It seems to be quite strong.

I will not be headed back until the 12 bolt is in. It will likely be a 12 bolt with 3.90 gears and 28" ET drags. REally lauching hard with that combo and the full shot should lop some time off. Its going to ba a few months though. Other priorities for a while.
