Default Help with power ring!!

I have a TNT kit and i can not get the power ring on with the O-Ring in the ring if i take the O-Ring out it will go on better has anyone had this problem? I just want to make sure it has a good seal. Is it ok if i leave the O-ring out? Thanks for any info.

I would say no to leaving the o-ring out. It could cause a leak downstream of the maf and throw off airflow readings. I would use the o-ring and throw some wd40 on it and slide it in. I also think that the power ring uses an allen set screw, you might have to loosen it a bit. Let us know what you come up with.

if you search- well everybody has a problem getting them on. mine took a while. use a little grease on the o-ring, and a piece of wood and a BFH. carefully beat the ******* thing on there :devil.

and yeah you need the o-ring.

it'll all be worth it when you spray it

i had the same problem. i didnt have an o-ring. i took a piece of vacuum hose and sliced down the middle. it seems to be working fine. i had to take a small screw driver and poke at it until it went on all the way.

Filing the retaining ring on the throttle body lets the ring slide right on with a good interference fit also.
