Could this be a direct result in my motor destorying itself
My .02
Whether or not the harness is or was pinched, and lack of bolts is the only problem the poster should have with the installer. If the harness was pinched I could possibly see those bolts working free if they were not locktited. I've seen several trans bolts come out/loosen up on hi-po setups. If the guy used to R&R transmissions for a living I seriously doubt he would leave those out, they're not even that hard to get to.
I'm not sure about on LS1s, but on LT1s if you disconnect/ground out the knock sensor it will go into limp home mode. I'm betting if a knock sensor on an LS1 grounds out it will automatically pull timing. Either way the only beef with the installer should be reparations regarding the harness. He offered to fix it before you all got out of hand. Regardless of his install job being botched or not, the work he did didn't affect anything other than pinching a harness.
Edit - and I don't know of ANYONE other than maybe dealership techs that tightens these bolts with a torque wrench. After the combination of extensions/wobbles/and angle the torque wrench would be way off anyway.

i is hard to beleave u spaying a 150 shot out of the hole and with a hard hook with four bell house bolt and not bust the tranz in half seems a litte fishy sounds like u should of bought good rod bolts to me
I seen a page or so back someone said get a lawyer HMMM better hope that video isn't seen by the judge may have more probs then you asked for. Also **** breaks and especially when you go beating on it. But for the 2 bell housing bolts missing and the wires being pinched that could have been avoided but who knows maybe the tech was having a bad day I wouldn't think he would of left them out out of laziness maybe just over looked them got in a hurry who knows. Anyways look at this as a excuse to get you a 6.0 block and start a new build it winter time anyways
WHY DO YOU THINK WE ALL INSTALL OUR **** OURSELVES!!!!
Yes.. The trans install was subpar, but you're relying on your knock sensors to pull timing on the gas... Come on dude... You blew a motor up, suck it up and pay for your mistakes.... With the little amount of timing you pulled out of the tune you would have probably had issues regardless of any other conditions....

Ive had the knock sensors get pinched in half before when putting on my intake (long stupid story) It did set a code and a check engine light within a few miles. So after 2 months or whatever you would have had one.
Also im no tuner buy i am a technician for a living,i would imagine if you disconect you knock sensor the engine computer would go into a default safty type setting and lower your timing.
I vote it was not the trans install guys fault the motor blew even if he did leave bolts out and pinched wires.
But i would like to say that this thread has been fun,it really reassures me on why i dont go streeet racing. There are so many clueless people that make crazy bets that no normal person would take. Bring 10k for my motor if it blows?? Come on dude.
