Guys,

Once again you're missing the point of the poll. It wasn't about voting for what you want to or wish to see. The poll was designed for people who have a car, that runs, which has been on the race track and has a timeslip. We wanted to see where the largest population of racers was.
At this point the poll is surely bogus since it has been populated with "votes" and will not be considered, but thanks to those who actually took the time to read what the intent of it was in the first place.

Damn, we fucked it up again!

Scott, why not start another poll and make it public? Is there any way to make the topic locked other than being able to vote? That should help give you the info that you need.

10.5 tire and whatever else you want. I've gotta believe that a field of 16 cars running 9.0-8.5 can be done.

Problem is that you're gonna get guys that show up to run that are in the 9.5 range, and there's cars that are in teh 8.2 probably the 7.9 range by the time the event is here, everyone knows that, so the only ones that will show up with a run whatever ya want is gonna be the couple guys that can put up the 8.0 # +/- a little bit, and a couple guys that want to try to be a super hero and throw the sink at it and prey for the best and end up blowing the car up before the race even happens.

That, isn't gonna work. You need to limit it to a power level that is gonna stay together for the average guy if you want to fill a field of cars. You limit it to about 250 hp worth of nitrous, and progess the weights so noone can jut build a 500 ci motor and win on CI alone, and you probably could get 30 cars to show up, maybe more.

If that works, maybe open it up some more next year... but going unlimited turns it into such a crazy $ battle that it will kill the class. A nitrous guy wants to try to be a superstar and run some 7 second passes, awesome. He can run with the turbo guys in unlimited radial.

<390= 3000

add 50lbs for solid roller

That would keep most people at 8.9 to 9.5
yea why not 8.5 to 9.49 as the selected ET range, that would cetainly fill it up no doubt. Heads up-man racing, lol. If the 8.xx cars can't stay together as implied, then there will be eonough filler cars to still race. But I think more cars will survive than at any other point in time, they are getting better no doubt.

I do believe we are going to see a lot more 8.xx cars this year it's an evolution and the technology is making it easier to go fast. There will be even a few guys going in to the high 7's.

I think it's time to shut up or put up. Lets have a ***** to wall nitrous class. However, the real problem is getting all of the cars together as they are not a dime a dozen and spread all over the place. There are now ways to mimick the turbo curves and the power is there, now can we start keeping them together, I think so. lets start chasing the turbos, lol, yea man. If i had the pocket book I know I would be.

Now with that said, to ensure that this gets off the ground maybe the first year having a slower field and add to that next year... we need to get the sprayed cars some respect, lol, so starting at any point is better than not starting at all...

You know these polls are skewed. I saw what ET are ya running and read nothing else and voted, how many others did the same with no intention on racing this series. These polls should have for the first option a statement that says to read the thread first before voting, and we would get a more realistic count.

Now when are you guys going to bring some racing to the left coast, lol?

Thanks Madman and Scott for trying to do something very difficult, it will eventually morph in to what you desire.
Robert

slap on 275s and run whatcha brung...as long as its a LSx-based nitrous combo...

as a spectator, I'd rather see all-out nitrous cars instead of watered down combos...the premiere heads up classes should offer at least some excitement
Amen brother, I like the way you think. Just my 2 cents.

I just said it because if someone didn't then the guys that really don't have a clue would take that as a good idea.

i do think a n2o only class would be a good idea. i would hate to see the n2o cars slowed down just to make for a bigger field. to me that wouldnt be any different than slowing the turbo cars down so us n2o folks could be competitive in the drag radial class. i say if you want to make a seperate n2o class then just let it be all out.

yea, that's a great 1st rule, lol.

Edit: I forgot to mention earlier but Redgar has a lot of experiance getting the race programs together for the Vette guys, and looking out for the best interests of the racers as well as said programs, so if he is not already deeply involved...
