Does anyone have a picture of this dual bottle mount in the back of a C5 coupe?

Nope but here is mine on some 3/8th plywood and should still give you an idea of how it will look. I was the orginal one to start doing this type of install due to the fiberglass being so thin (screws would strip out by hand). I am working on a C5/C6 bottle install how-to and hopefully will have it in PDF format so i can post it here. It will be on my site but not being a paying sponsor, yet, I can't host my links, but that may change real soon.

Nice work!!!

Robert Your pics are messing this guys post all up.lol Way to big.. We have been installing bottles in C5s since they hit the market. So I would not say you were the originator of building bottle mounts in a C5. I will admid all the past ones were carpeted covered plywood and that was inhouse installs that customers asked for.I never really likes the idea safety wise but it looked nice. The reason behind the aluminum plates were moving on to something much better and safer in the event of a car roll over. I have some install pics on my compuet at work. pm me your email address.

Dave
You forget that I got one of only 9000 '97 coupes new, so I was there before anyone else that i know of. I was also the first one to mount the noids on the head, when everyone was arguing that it is too hot there, but now many do it, lol. I have had a lot of firsts and continue to do so today. Wait till you see the completed new set-up, totally new fron to back. How the heck that picture got so big is beyond me, lol, I have posted it a zillion times, lol.

Anyway you do it, the dual bottle set-ups are the trickest looking set-ups no doubt. however, with the advant of the NANO technology the need for that capacity has dropped off a bunch cause we can double the runs on one bottle now. I added dual NANO 15lb kits to mine, but not sure yet if I like it, it may be too much?

Has anyone mounted a 15 lb bottle in the rear middle trunk well? I would love to see that. Will those brackets work with a 15 lb bottle? Thanks.

They may work, however, the 15lb'ers are so damn long what i have been doing is putting the front mount on the plywood and the rear mount goes down in to the spare tire well where you can actually get thru bolts on it. here's a single 15 so you can see the length and why the rear mount wants to be that far back (correct angle and not hitting window trim on the Z06). To get it back up on the flat surface it may look funny? the second set of pics is my last single using my standard plywood method.
