Default Is it safe to spray my car?

I have a 99 Z28 M6 with mods in sig. The car is pretty much a full-bolt on car. I had the car tuned after the manifold and full exhaust and it put down 334rwhp/339rwtq. With full bolt-ons it's over 340rwhp. Anyway, the car has 180K miles on it. It has gone 12.5x's@113 this year.

I just did a quick compression test on 3 cylinders to get an idea of how healthy the engine is and got 155 psi, 150 psi, and 135 psi. 3 weeks ago I went out and hot lapped the car at the track(got 22 runs in one day) and the car never let me down.

With the quick compression test, am I looking for trouble with the rings/pistons/valves spraying a 100 shot with this many miles on the motor?

I sprayed mine on 134k and is still ticking. with 180k the motor could take a dump any day or it could last 30k more while spraying it.

I would be more prone to spraying a car with 180k then one with only 30k.

If your broke and its your only car then i would not, but if you dont mind rebuilding it if it does blow up go for it.

Going fast is risky no matter what you do to your car.

In my opinion get a fuel pump, plugs and have it tuned and go for 100-150.

I understand that with a motor like mine with the miles it could go at any moment or last for a while.

I guess what I'm looking for is how do the compression #'s look to everyone? Looking over the forums, 150 psi seems like it is ok, but is the motor "healthy" enough to spray a 100 shot on it without it being too much of a risk?

i think spraying is all up to you man. If it was me i'd probly spray a 100 or i'd probly do a rebuild just to freshin it up and then i'd spray 150, but it's totally up to you.

the lower compresstion in the one cyclinder may just mean you have to adjust the valves..i sprayed my lt1 had 85,xxx on it. had two stages. for a total of 175 shot..the motor was stock from top to bottom..never had a problem
