This thread is pretty funny. I laughed really hard reading this.
Yeah, that is a crazy random act. My engine blew up one day when I turned the key. It made a few clunks and then a loud boom. It blew chunks out of the block and oil pan.
It blew the radio out...

In regards to the insurance I'm sure you could pull (if there are any left) the nitrous parts off and tell them it caught on fire. Comprehensive covers all those flukes of nature.
If your insurance doesn't work like 860s does that is what I would do. I may have missed this, but did anyone catch the explosion on tape?
