Just thought I'd pass it along to the nitrous guys.

It was pretty odd when one day it was on their website and it was gone the next....
Sounds like LSX Drag Radial is going to take a hit on the car count too....
Oh well....time to race at the local races

LOL.. Come up to AK and we'll have a 5K payout LSX Nitrous class at Alaska Raceway Park. I'll add it to the schedule and get the sponsors. It's just a little drive up the ALCAN
Aren't you in the military or something? Just have one of those C-whatever's pick all our cars up and bring em to AK

It sucks there will not be a nitrous class. But last year they gave away a LSX block to try to get the nitrous guys out. Only two cars showed up to show support. In some cases though racers would have spent more traveling there in expenses than the winnings were worth so it is understandable. But you cant tell me that there were only two cars capable of showing up to support the nitrous community.
I bet the economy played a huge roll in the decision making to kill the idea of the class. You have to remember this is a business for those guys. In order to pull of this and not loose money they would have had to successfully feel up the class with out taking cars from other classes. They would have had to find a class sponsor willing to pay what they needed to cover pay outs and expenses. I bet with everything considering they had to question to how many people will be able to afford to travel and race when the time came as well. Starting a new class based around a group that only had two show last year in this economy would not be a risky investment.
I am sad to see there is not going to be a nitrous class but regardless I will be there having a great time. I would hope that we could get some serious nitrous cars show up to compete, have a good time, meet each other and show NMCA that next year we could support a class catered to us.
Hope to see you guys there.
