When I was running my car n/a I had goodyear radials on it (junk I know, but someone has to test stuff ) and they worked the best at 18.5 psi. Any more and they wouldn't hook, any less and they would just squirm on the track (see the marks, looked like snake tracks) and the whole car would vibrate. Annoying feeling for sure and that was at a low power level.. hitting it with power and having that happen must be un-nerving for sure.

Congrats for sure!!! Especially being that heavy, damn. Willing to share anymore on the squared LS1? Keep it up, litterally. Love to see the wheels off the ground. I hope to be able to do that 1 day.

WOW, congrats on getting it down so quickly on the 275's. Your car is impressive for what it is.

What gear are you running?

No, it's got a decent bit of weight reduction, but it's also got a lot of weight in it and i'm 265, without me and without a bottle the car is 3085 with a 10 pt chromemoly cage and still has all stock k member and a arms and stuff. Stock brakes out back, aerospace up front.

Nothing to feel embarrassed about dude, nothing at all, you got a nice car and i'm sure when you start spraying it she'll ride out really nice! And like I've said, I was very surprised at how well the car worked on those tires, I wasn't expecting these results at all!

Glad you got the launch under control. Why are you switching to a glide? You can obviously still hook 1st gear. Just for the weight reduction?

Everyone says the car will go faster with a glide, so I'm going to give it a try, right now I can't leave on more than 40% without standing her up and I've still got more jet to throw at it. They also said I'm just running through didst gear and it's wasting power and that with the glide it'll keep it in the peak power band longer and motor through. Like I said, figure I'll give it a try.

Well, I guess the whole point is to get as much power in as soon as possible. Hell, get an air shifter and all you'll have to do is release the trans brake and keep her straight.

I've thought of sticking a glide in mine with a ton of gear when I get back to 1/8th mile racing

Transbrake, goes right to 4000 on motor and the spray hits and flashes it as soon as I let go of the button.

Definately let me know how the glide works out, and what gearset are in it. I'm seriously considering one myself for mucht eh same reason. I'm not standing my junk up (at least until the lw front end **** goes on after that who knows) but keeping the motor in right spot is what I'm more intrested.

If possible, weigh the 2 tranny's too... I'm also intrested to see what they weigh (crossmember and driveshaft too if possible for best possible accuracy)

Driveshafts won't be a fair comparison, I'm going from steel to chromemoly, I got a friend that can get me a chromemoly one made for half what I paid for my steel and the chromemoly is lighter and stronger, so I'm gonna jump on it.
