Just amazing!!! What N/A numbers did the car put down? 470's? 480's?

This question may sound dumb but I had to ask it. What do you mean a 374 Squared? Like LS3 Square port heads? or is it something to do with the block its self? Just Confused and Curious.

When I first got it back together I threw it on a buddies dyno, put down 475 to the wheels.

When I say squared up ls1, that just means bore matches stroke, it's got a 3.9 crank and a 3.907 bore.

Very Nice N/A Numbers. Thats for the help on the squared up term. I just wanted to understand what you guys were talking about.

What is the benefit of a squared motor? Is it just a stroked motor matched up? Or is there a reason?

The best reason for a 3.9 crank is you get a few more CI but can still have a good nitrous piston. a 4" crank makes it harder to build a good nitrous piston. It can be done but for big shots in the 400+ range Id like a 3.9 crank.

let me clarify what i did to Devon's posi before you guys think you can wield up the spider gears and go for broke and end up in the wall. i wielded the spider gears up and then re-enforced it with angle iron. it weights a ton. but it cost him nothing. there are a lot of reasons we stayed away from the 382. they come from lessons learned in my dads days and it was passed to me. the cool thing is now it is passed to Devon. i am pretty sure he agrees at this point in time

Thanks man, that was a 275 shot, still a baby shot, the plate wouldn't flow anymore when I tried bumping it up, after I get the glide in the car, i'm pickin up a new plate to try.

hey man that looks like an amazing ride and a great build!! Those Mickey radials are a hell of a tire... ive seen a car go 8.1x on those things..

you were saying that you were switching form a glide from your turbo and hoping it would go faster.. Although it is a little different set-up i also recently did the same switch. Its a 67 chevelle full tube chassis car, weighs 3050 with me in it with a 496 BBC 13:1 BB2 brodix heads 5400 stall and 4.71 rears. with the turbo with a 2.10 gear set it went 9.50@139 and I got a great deal on this glide from TSI thinking with the car physically being in high gear longer i would pick up ET and one or two mph. but actually it slowed down about a tenth and 2 mph.. granted a little bit of that might be the weather because it was pretty humid that day... it is way more constant now but it doesnt pick up the tires as much but still a sweet ride.. excited to see what your camaro does! keep posted!
