Smartest thing you can do. One other thing, you may want to seriously consider, is going to a carb style intake. That would be a dramatic improvment over that garbage breadbox type POS that gm put on it, and would open up your options for what you can get away with for a nitrous kit (you could go with a speedtech diffuser plate instead of a fogger and be able to put 200 to it, and the other intake would probably be worth 20 hp over the lt1 type intakes)
something to think about.

I do like that set up hiding everything. IMO I think thats trick **** and I love how they use the EGR tube that goes from the back of the manifold to header pipe.
Unfortunately that kit has the bottom cut out and even though it is tall, I think that intake requires a removal everytime.

AC, I love that kit too, but for all the reasons stated above, it's just a pain to deal with.
They make great DP kits (with or without N2O rails) that look very professional and fit over the Lt1 manifold.
I've been looking at single plane solutions like JL ws-6 suggested above, but I just don't
see people gaining the advantages they thought they would for their investment.
The Lt1 manifold, ported, actually seems to perform very well.

You can put a fogger on the intake on the top side, I have seen it before but most like the money maker kit and me too But thats a lot of bread for a kit to be hidden...Come on Mike just put a plate behind that badboy and hit the streets up with me and we can make a lot of cash together!!!!
O yea a 355 forged can do 9s with spray

the speedtech diffuser plate is a great plate but if you run an accufab 4 barrel throttle body and not an elbow then the 4 barrels don't line up with the 4 holes in the diffuser plate.... That was my first choice for plate but it wouldn't line up. So it was off to Nitrous Pro Flow for their plate (which is also a VERY high quality plate)... complete with burst panels and everything...
