Default RPM switch question

Im helping a friend decide on a kit, he has an auto i have a manual, so i dont know much about the auto. My question is, who makes a good window switch, and i herd some have to be sent out to a company to get wired right for our ignition systems? sorry i dont have a ton of info, thats alli know, my neighbord had to do that, but hes out of town at the moment. Thanks

Kevin, I used the MSD one that was modded (wired) for 5-volt squared operation. I had to send it to get modded. But these days, if you tell TByrne or TR that it is for an LS1, they'll send you a pre-modded unit.

I bought a kit new from a guy on this board...it had the NX Epress window switch (which is the MSD with a sticker on it). How can I tell if it has been modified for LS1 use?

I remembor reading something about an orange dot on it???? Most people don't have problems with the unmoded MSD units. Just a few. When they come back, they work. I do think I read someone got one back and it didn't work though. I'll have to dig hard to find that post.

Yeha i think the orage sticker says something about this defice is modified for your application or something to that sort
