I'm not disagreeing with you because I've never tried it either way myself but it does make sense. Are the pistons in your all's motor coated but not the chambers? If so i take it you haven't had any issues?
Please explain, I'm interested in hearing other people's experiences with that.

The T-Rex is the last cam I would run in my motor. I just haven't been impressed with it. They usually make decent peak hp but if you look at the rest of the RPM range they aren't too impressive compared to some of the other cams. You don't need a big "mule dick" cam to go fast either, the cam in my car is just a **** hair bigger than a G5X2. Through a stalled auto, 9", and 325-50's my car made 435 to the tire and still had good mid range power. I don't have big fancy heads either, they are an old set of Absolute speed 2.5's, 853's to beat it all.
My setup made 711 rwhp one one big shot, I've never dyno'd it with both kits setup the way it is now, I'm just not crazy about spraying on the dyno.
The biggest part to the whole equation is going to be the tune up on the nitrous. If you don't know how to tune it then you are going to be leaving alot on the table and will more than likely hurt something eventually.
Be careful where you get your info, there are alot of people (and companies) that don't have enough real world experience with nitrous to be giving tuning advice.

I had a forged 346 and a TREX in a previous combo and it wouldnt pick up after anymore than a 200 shot. Made like 640 on 200 and 646 on a 250. nothing else changed in the setup except a custom cam and it made 689 on just 200

It wasn't making that much when I ran the 6.03 @ 114, I believe it was in the 670 range then.
It was WAY over timed and wouldn't make it all the way down the track without nipping a plug LOL. Since then I've learned how to go semi fast and keep it from hurting it's self.

How much were you sparying when it went 6.03 @ 114, last time I ran my car it went 6.09 @ 114.7 with a 1.41 60 foot (thanks E-town for the lovely prep!) I had the plate jetted to 65/43, I'm thinking it's still way too heavy on fuel (nos behind the tb plate on a fast intake)
I'm thinking, I have way too much fuel jet, we tried bumping a couple degrees to it, and it didn't do a damn thing, car basicially ran the same as it did 3 weeks earlier, went a mph faster and ran the same et with the 60 foot's about 1/2 a tenth slower... da was about 500 feet better so I'm thinking that the timing, pretty much did nothing, the mph was from the da, and the da made up for the weaker 60 foot.

Not really.... you look around at similar setups, I'm way off the pace. Have been all along really, we're always been very conservative with it. Probably why my junk's been together for 3 years and never had a head off it... but again, it's not anywhere what I would call impressive.
It's a pretty well built car, but it's always been on the heavy side, and tuned on the way safe side.
Now, I'm 300 lbs lighter, and am trying to stick with the same 9.50 speed, probably have to run negative timing to not goo too fast
So much for trying to push it
