Default HSW 90 plate vs. N2Outlet 90 plate???

Looking to switch to a plate, but which one?? Is there really any difference between the 2 or just personal preference?? The HSW has 360* pattern,
N2Outlet does not state. I am not concerned with the max ratings of the two, as I will never reach them anyway. Just wondering why there is a $100 difference between the two.

thanks guys
Kane

I had an HSW plate, and with my new setup I'm going to a Nitrous Outlet plate. The biggest differences from what I can tell, are that HSW plates are 1" thick where Nitrous Outlate plates are 3/4" thick, the HSW uses a 360° spray pattern where Nitrous Outlet has a different spray pattern for each type of plate, and HSW uses staggered length nitrous/fuel lines to prevent a lean spike where Nitrous Outlet says theirs will not have a lean spike even with equal length lines.

I don't have the nitrous outlet plate in yet and I'm sure it will be fantastic, but I had no problems running a 125 shot through my HSW plate last season.

Have you done a search? This has been asked many times.

I personally use the Hsw plate, it is a great product and they are a great company you can't go wrong with their product. Give each company a call or message and see what yi think.

does anyone have a the video showing the HSW plate in action? I can't seem to find it anywhere and the link on HSW's site for the video doesn't work anymore. I have already viewed the Nitrous Outlet video.

The video link works on the HSW site, but it does come up with an error. If you right click the link you can save the video, or I just uploaded it for you here:

Those are some, but it is a very debatable topic and could get out of hand real quick.

I am switching because I am switching to a N2O Outlet hard line kit and wanted the cleanest install possible without the risk of a lean spike that comes with the HSW plate unless running a longer N2O line.

^That doesn't make sense. The longer nitrous line is to prevent lean spikes, not cause it. Your first post made sense, except for the comment regarding equal sized lines preventing lean spikes that nitrous outlet told you.

I never said equal length lines prevents lean spikes. I was saying that N2O outlet says that their plate does not require unequal length lines and that lean spikes are prevented by the design of the plate. HSW told me that I should have a ~2" longer nitrous line when using their HSW plate in order to prevent lean spikes, which is fine, but it prevents running a hardline kit without introducing multiple bends/loops into the hardline which can (from my understanding) make the initial nitrous hit weaker.

I had ZERO problems with my HSW plate, it was just time for a change!

To the OP,

Read these links, there is some good info there, especially the first one.

FWIW, I run the HSW plate (wet). I have had great results with it, and the microedge. However, I really would like to try the NO plate on my own car sometime to compare the differences. HSW & NO both seem to have great customer service so regardless of which one you decide on, you'll be in good hands.
